I was at the LFS looking at fish the other day, and I love the look of the hoplo catfish, but I'm really disappointed they only get to 6" or so. It has to be large enough not to look like food to an oscar. I like the big syndontis (sp?) cat they have there, but he's really shy - the hoplo's are always up at the front of the tank with their big goofy looking barbells. Anyone suggest a cat that looks similar to a hoplo, but will get larger (10-18"?)

Obviously a RTC, but I don't have near future plans for a tnak large enough to house an adult RTC.

how about a giraffe catfish

how about a brown bullhead, they top out at about 12" to 14"

I think that might be exactly what I'm looking for! I think I used to have a whole mess of black bullhead fry that a friend netted, and they were really cool! Now, where to find one...

jaguar catfish, is basically the ultimate.. but if you have Slow Small tank mates = dead but they get to 6-8 inches i belive mines about 6 now and lives with a gar hes aok!
