In my experience I believe that as the square footage increases the RD becomes more passive.

I have to agree.

I have a male Midas who has been raised with tankmates since it was little in a 120g tank. At 9" he can be a jerk at times to the 5" silver dollars and 8" pleco. But he is actually pretty mild most of the time. I recently added a 1.5" JD and thought he would be a goner - funny but he is doing just fine and the Midas ignores him. Soon they will all be rehomed in my 210g so I am interested to see if things mellow out even more in my Midas.
