Well if that's the case, he'll spend summers in the Koi pond and Winters in a 75G. once he breaks 12". Right now he's fine where he's at.

Mike

That sounds like a good plan, I saw a 17" one a month ago at an LFS and it was amazing looking

A Gibbicep, L002 or the common pleco.

Yeah, I got mixed answers when I tried to figure out what he was, I was told Leopard, Marble, High Fin, Sail Fin. Only thing I get regularly from people is that they can grow 12"+ over 5-10 years. But haven't gotten any reliable confirmation on it.

it is a pterygoplychthys gibbiceps, mostly referred to as a sailfin pleco but also goes by all of the other names you listed as well, also one of the many specied called "common plecos" sometimes. and yes they usually don't have a problem reaching 18"-24" in an adequately sized aquarium. make sure you are getting him some sinking carnivorous pellets as well, he should be getting a lot of protein by the time he is 5" and will eventually lay off eating the algae as it continues to grow.

Thanks for the tip. And yes he's been Grabbing Massivore Delight if I drop it near him.
