Suggestions for a single wet pet

Hey all I'm wondering if anyone has a any cool suggestions for fish that could be placed in a 75 gallon tank as a single 'wet pet'. Obviously many cichlids come to mind, and as much as I love them and keep them, I'm wondering if there are any idea of medium to large fish that would fit in a 75 and would be cool and interactive and not in the cichlid family. So any ideas?

While a rainbow wolf would be sweet, it unfortunately would be extremely hard for me to get my hands on in my area:( and flagtails are beautiful but I always figured one would outgrow my tank and I really want somethin tht can live comfortable in a 75 Long term

I'm not really a Flowerhorn guy per se, but it would be an awesome single show fish. The short bodied ones should fit for life and with all of the color variety you should be able to find one that you could live with.
 
This is probably the first ur gonna hear this but archocentrus centrarchus are really a good wetpet for a 75. You can keep a pair in there. It's my first time keeping them and I'm really surprised by how they act towards me. They recognize me and always follow me whenever I walk around. They have nice colors when and when not in spawning mode.

Yeah, puffer. If I wanted 1 non-cichlid fish for a tank it would be a big puffer for SURE. You can keep their teeth in check just by feeding them everything while it's still frozen, straight out of deep freeze. The main trick is gaining the relationship with them where they won't bite YOU when you maintain the tank. The second trick is finding a decent-sized one that is already acclimated to fresh water, or at least brackish. One puffer is not worth maintaining a salt-water tank.
