SRD are a classic purchase can never go wrong. Magma was what I was going to suggest and seems like you bought it!

I like oddball fish I miss my King Kamfa he looked similar to your magma.

I liked both the fh. But SRD being very common and this magma looked soo good and your suggestion made me to buy it.

As a newbie I would like to know how to take care of FH and increase kok growth and colour

Like others have said, magma is just a name the breeder(s) gave to their strain of zz. At the end of the day, it's a zz. What I noticed with magmas is that they have thicker and more pearl than a typical zz or srd. So usually the pearl will cover the base color, making it look less red than a normal zz/srd.

Also, kok is not something u have to usually worry about for zz. As long as they're happy and healthy, their kok will be fine. Imo, I don't like to use too many enhancers/additives. Just a quality and healthy diet to make them happy should naturally bring out the best in them. My favorite staples are hikari gold for cichlid and hikari saki (for kois).

asathaxin is what gives it the red so any foods like shrimp and krill with enhance their colors like crazy. Look for products that contain that or anything with shrimp meal. Its 80% genetic the rest is water quality and foods.

That's something I didn't knew about. Valuable info. But many says not to feed them whole food and keep them on pellets
