Suggestions for this overstocked 125g

[NY SURF RIDER]

125g tank [6ft long], filtered by a fluval 405 and 305, and two HOBs.

Fish-All under 4 inches:

RD
Mota
Blackbelt
Albino tiger oscar
convict
2 Jack Dempseys
senegal bichir

and a large 12 inch albino catfish.

So far the only real agressor is the RD. He chases around the black belt and the convict.
Also the 2 JDs are agressive toward each other.



I would really love to be able to hold on to the Blackbelt, Mota, large catfish, and RD.
-At full grown size, would that be possible? Would it depend on the personalities of the individual fish?
-Which fish would you keep?
-What combination would work the best?


Just looking for some suggestions on what possibilities I have with this tank..

hold on to what you said then. What kind of Catfish is it? You just said large albino?

I think that you are going to run into some serious aggression problems if you keep the RD. Are the JD's a pair? The list you gave is going to be difficult to slim because of the potential agg. If I were to rate them in aggression: 1 RD, 2 BB, 3 Mota, 4 JD, 5 Oscar -I won't even rate the con since it wont get big enough to be a threat. You want to keep 1, 2, and 3. I just don't see that happening. The RD will definitely limit what tankmates you can have.

What would I do? BB, Mota, couple of cons, and the large cat.

Notice the RD is not in this equation. I didn't put the cat in there just because it will get huge, and you'll have to do massive w/c's. (it could be done though) IMO RD's are best kept as wet pets.

first off the red devil needs a 125 gallon pretty much too it self. The best combo would be 2 jds the oscar and the con, maybe oscar black belt jds. I would get rid of the rest.

I'm not sure the type of catfish.. he's a big boy though.. and I like the BB, Mota, oscar combo best.. I'm finding it harddd to get rid of the RD.. he's the life of the tank.. but the BB is definetly the best looking fish.. ahh.. thanks for all the advice, I'll update when I make a decision

if the jd have lots of blue blotches on the gill platelets they are probabally female if they only have a couple of spots or greenish spots they are male.

A RD doesnt need a 125 all its self... I think thats a waste of a tank. I would say it needs a 75 to its self. I have a 100 with a tiger O and a RD with no probs. I had 2 Os but one jumped out sadly .... I would go with

2 Oscars of yur choice4
1 JD
1 Savani (sorry for spelling
and mayube some dither tinfoil barbs. On one of my other sites some one has this exact combo and it looks beautiful and the fish get along nicley

I'm not making any strides yet.. but if you guys think an oscar, mota, BB combo would work.. thats what I'm leaning toward. Do you think its maxed out at that or could I hold on to the convict or bichir with that?
