Suicidal Stocking

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, Thank you for all the input guys. I've decided to scoop and return to create a more balanced Central American tank (more suitable for my pH of 8-8.2 and actually my preferred locale). I didn't buy a 210 gallon for temporary fish, I bought it to have water pets for the long haul. My JD and mates from my 90 were supposed to go on in this tank, but couldn't handle the move despite transferring my uncleaned 6 year running Eheim 2262 canister. I still don't know what happened to this day as all water parameters were ideal.

I realize the new mix may still have issues, but I'll sort them out at a later date when they become a problem and by that time should have a new 90 or 125 gallon setup. Any glaring issues staring you in the face?

I will say that everyone including Ray Charles could see none of those working long term, plus you’re talking about adding more with a maculicauda. As I said I won’t tell anyone how to enjoy their hobby so I’m out, best of luck.

LOL, Survival of the fittest then. That’s what I’ll name the tank.

You’ll have to delete some fish along the way but they might just do it for you. Either way, make sure there are plenty of territories and sight breaks

Thank You for your constructive response! That’s the plan. I think the best thing I can do for now is make it CA only and go from there. The doomsday responses were expected though.

And also, please don't replicate what you see in YouTube or take advice from belligerent Facebook groups that'll say different. A majority of those people never kept half of the fish mentioned or the same fish they claim to have never make it to the half way journey of growth and unfortunately it's the fish that suffer.
