Suitable Tank Mate

I had a gar and pbass together and the gar didn't bother it one bit. Can't really keep anything that kinda sits around at the top of the tank or the gar will eat it. Unless that fish is much bigger he the gar.

other gar about the same size work well and larger catfish
As long as the fish can't put any part of the other fish in its mouth they should be fine
"safe" is a relative term when talking about AG but best of luck to you
