Anyone keep them on here? I'm interested in them... and yes I know they get huge so don't tell me that.

Awesome pets. Super friendly, mine lives in my back yard and has his own dog house... He also knows how to open the sliding glass door to come inside and say hello :] Its a life time commitment... Actually you'll probably have to leave him in your will to your kids. But probably one of my favorite pets, he comes when I call and follows me everywhere. Oh yeah he weighs like 80lbs and eats A LOT, but we don't treat the yard for pests so he just grazes like a yard cow and gets lots of fruits and veggies :]

They do just fine in Florida, especially outside, with the high humidity......
The burrows they dig stay anywhere between 60-90 % + RH.........
80lbs? thats big! i want mine to get HUGE already. mine is at around 40lbs. had it for almost 4 years. it actually just came to our house one day and we kept it since. but awesome pets. my dream tortoise is the aldabra but you need a large land for those.
alright, do they need any lights for a terrarium? If so what kind? I'm just keeping him in a terrarium until he gets a little bigger.
