Just saying mine prefer veggies if given the choice...

But mine lives krill too...

I had a very hard time trying to get mine to even snack on fresh veggies. So I did flake/tab feeds to add some roughage to their diet.

ask anyone else who owned sultans and see what they say if theirs ate any veggies or not. I know for sure mine didn't even touch them in all stages, from fry-adults

I did ask quite a bit before I bought mine since I keep mostly veggie wood eaters. Not saying they won't eat meats, just that to keep them healthy veggies are important. African cichlids will eat bloodworms all day long. Of course it'll most likely kill them from bloat, seeing as their digestive systems are not built for such high protein diets.

I'm not at all saying yours didn't prefer certain foods, it's just that certain fish are built for certain types of diets.

J1119 is right mine ate more carrots and peas than krill or filets.

The krill, brine shrimp and blood worms were suggested to just make sure it's eating.

Before mine died in the move last summer, mine would eat zuchinni, along with my amazon sword plant. Mine liked pellets, but my raphael would just suck the pellets up; I stuck the pellets in the zuchinni, and it would eat the pellets and zuchinni (and the raphael would leave it alone). If you want yours to eat zuchinni, once you find out what food it likes, try sticking it in the zuchinni.
