I think I see your issue..... You want the blue ball valve drain down towards the bottom further towards the U....Without loosing your prime when electricity goes out. Your water has to travel further up the back side U to get to the exit.
Look at the T exit in both these pics. I made one further up the vent tube which lowers your water flow coming out.
The First one is how it should be and it's hard from your pics but
I think the second one is how you have the exit T with ball valve pretty high up on the pvc..This will make your GPH slower/less flow
Now that your using a larger pvc pipe it doesn't matter now.....
