do i need pre filters pads like mech or is gravel bacily it is a bio and mech at the same time.

You need a pre-filter. You do not want all the detritus in the gravel. A pre-filter is way easier to clean too. And do clean it regularly.

what if i put some filter floss or some pads in the pipeing before it get to the gravel?????? any thing i should change with the desinge on that page??

Pipes clog up... Rule #7 if you can't see it, you won't clean.

I would have the return (on left side) under the gravel and the input from the filter above the gravel. Water will flow thru all the gravel easier than trying to force it thru one spot with a pump.

oh sorry how lagre should the bog be.ok i will revise it. good rule and yourright i owuldn't clean it...lol
