Sump is down!

Ok it ran all night! however there is still air trapped in the top of it? why wont the power head pull the air out? there is about a half inch or air across the overflow box.

Does the powerhead have an adjustment for flow? They do not have as much suction as an aqualifter. You have to get the air out and them let it maintain it from there.

Just my 2 cents.

If the tubing going down to the sump from the overflow box is straight, and has sufficient strength, you can use it to create a second siphon voiding the need for the aqua lifter.

I have done this before it works like this. You hook an air line up to the CPR overflow WITH A CHECK VALVE and then run the air line about 1/4 to 1/2 the way down the inside of the piping going down into the sump. The suction created from the water falling down the plumbing will suck air and small amounts of water out of the CPR overflow.

I dont but yhe down tube sciphon for a second sorry.

No i have not checked for leaks but like i said there is no water leaking so i dont think there is a crack.

It is still running but i am still worried.

It would be a crack on the vacuum side, you wouldn't see water leaking, you'd be sucking air into the siphon...
That's why I asked you if you checked for leaks...;)
