Sump level keeps going lower than Pump Intake?

I do hear that every once in a while (a brief burst of bubbling noise that is really loud, never realized it was the FX5 as I am usually upstairs when it happens) but it's never affected the water level. Since I added the ball valve's I haven't had the sump sucking air despite two FX5's being on the tank.
