Wetdry sump...NOT UNDER your tank,,, but BESIDE your tank. Who has their tank setup like this? Plumbing design, stand, overall, etc. Would like to hear from the people who have theirs like this. A buddy is planning to redo his tank(s) setup this way, and would like to get...:feedback:

Thanks in advance. :headbang2

it would take up a lot of room. under the tank would take up less room and loook a lot cleaner

Our wet/dry filter is on the floor behind our 300 gallon tank. There's an FX5 and a 40 Watt UV sterilizer back there also. Our mechanical filtration is in the former furnace room on the other side of the back wall.

Man, do I feel better.
Thought only my house looked like a hose truck ran into a rubbermaid display.
Hey babe,
come..look..see, we are not alone other people have homes just like ours;)

Saw a system that was hidden in an old-time trunk next to the tank..hid it all and looked pretty cool.

lol, those hoses have since been organized a little better since the photos were taken.

It should be no different than having a sump under the tank, except the hoses will be a bit longer.

My new in wall tank will have 3' on either side. I'm going to have 3'x'4'x2' storage (stand will be 2' high)

I don't see why any filtration on the side of the tank couldn't be concealed with a box of some sort.

I have done it. Overflows are in the side of the tank, wetdry is beside the tank as well. Mine is a stacked setup though, with a 4x2x2 on top and one on the bottom. All of the equipment(wet/dry, FX5, fluval 405) are all beside the tank in a unit built into the stand.

Very easy to access all equipment. but takes up an extra 2 feet than just a 4x2x2 stand would.

mine sits behind my 265 the tank sit katacorner and the sump sits in the corner behind it.
