that quiet one 4000 wont pump anywhere near enough flow to test the 1600 gph overflow. run 2 of them at least.

The quiet one 4000 is rated 1017gph. Id rather have an overflow that is rated for more gph than not enough. When I upgrade tanks I'll add a second pump.

thats at 0 head. so by the time it gets to the tank your looking at 500-600 gph. so if u have 2 of those pumps then youd still be under the 1600 gph the overflows can handle.

hmmm well thanks for a few answers. I have the quiet one 6000 rated for 1506 gph and a 1600 gph cpr over flow. I put a air tube in one of the returns since there's two put bubbles just go straight up. so i was thinking to my self there is now way i am pumping out 1506 gph to my over flow. So i have been getting a lot of algae so if i run two 600 i should be good right? i was just not filtering the right amount of water threw by the way my tank is 9x2x2.

also just noticed uv sterilizer is crap and wrong watt's to hand that flow rate so i am junking it stupid coral life and the guy who gave it to me!
