Pump size will depend on the size of tank, height of the tank, and turnover that is wanted. You can buy pumps in the fish store, or on-line.

Pump brand is personal preference although Quiet Ones and Mag Drives are well like around the forum.

Its recommended to get a pump that is 5 to 1 ratio to the amount of flow to how large your tank is. My tank is a 90 gal so i chose a 500 gph pump. Dr. Fosters and Smith is a good resource to choose a pump. You can compare different pumps in the range you need.
