Sump System Too Loud! 3 HOBs ok?

So... twin AquaClear 110's eh? Sounds like double the filtration for the same price. Someone green-light this and I'll set it in stone...err... go get them. I really need to finish setting this 150g up!
 
I am currently using two AC 110s as the only filters on my heavily stocked 6' 125 gal... They do not keep the tank "spotless" but everything is very healthy...

I usually also run a Magnum 350 canister with micron cartridge & UV light to give myself crystal clear water... I usually use two Koralia Powerheads to help push waste into the AC 110 intakes...

With these 'extras' in place the tank stays amazingly clean... but I pulled them off to use them elsewhere and haven't replaced them yet...
 
Looks like to me all you need is that pair of AQ110's and a "durso" type top to that standpipe to quiet it down...
google up "durso standpipe" and you'll see what they are...search MFK too, for "DURSO standpipe" as well...
Once you get that overflow quiet and install the 2 x AQ110's you'll be able to stock that 150 to the tits with fish!!... IMO of course...
 
Ok. Done. 2 AC 110's and I got a Rena Filstar xP3 to go with it. Hope this $400 is worth it... I mean... I only have 1 fish :P

thats what I run on my 150g with a growing school of barbs that eat their own weight in food every day :)

should be fine for your Oscar.
