Sump up and running have a question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
those still need some sort of noise reduction on them...they have the same open bulkheads in the drain weir...those are the ones I use with the gurgle busters.

Ok I got it running pretty good. I used 3 "J" tubes but I did have to turn down the pump a little. Added a flapper check valve and 3 vents on top of the "J" tubes, I will hook them up too a pump so I don't have to prime them any more. I will add the Hofer Gurgle Buster tomorrow. Is the Heater ok laying on the bottom of the the sump?

I'd try to shorten those gray hoses from the overflow box to the wet/dry, that big double U going into your wet/dry is slowing your water flow. Water runs faster when it runs straighter.

i'll agree with that, but being as there are no sharp bends it probably isnt bad
the 180 degree bend in the output probably slows it down more than the sweeping bends on the input anyways
