I will be running 2 fx5's and a 30x15x15 sump on my 210. You can never have too much filtration.
Crazyfish88;3798776; said:For the 2 FX5 question it really depends on your stock and bio load. If your fish produces massive wastes then the more filtration the better. On my 225g I'm running 1 FX5 and a Rena Xp4 and it's not enough because I'm overstocked. I'm thinking of adding another FX5 soon.
Answer for glass tanks being drilled yes they can but I don't know if you can drill it after once the tank has been made. Usually I've seen glass tanks drilled during the custom build. I'm not an expert at it so maybe someone else can help u on this one.

Im thinking I will look into getting a discount at my LFS for TWO Fx5... I am only going to have 3-5 fish in the tank: Clown knives x3 and maybe an australian Aro (Jardini?) And only MAYBE my oscar. I know they poop a lot so he might get his own tank lol.
Thanks!![]()
Crazyfish88;3798834; said:Then 2 FX5's is well more then enough for that stock. If you had double the stock then I'd definitely go for 2 FX5's. U can save yourself some money and just use 1 FX5 and 2 AC110's for that kind of stock.
attackfish21;3798882; said:The biggest tank I have ever had is my current 60gal. I don't mean to ask a dumb question, but what is the AC110? Is that part of the filtration? Or possibly a powerhead?
The more I know, the better off my fish will be!
Thanks again.![]()

I just have no knowledge on how to set it up or anything. I am setting up a 240g this week and plan on putting my FX5 on there and possibly getting another FX5 in the next couple months but maybe my FX5 and a sump would be a better choice or just a sump???
Crazyfish88;3798886; said:AC110 is the Aquaclear 110 (replacement of the Aquaclear 500) which is a waterfall function filter and it hangs on the back of your tank.
