sun cat

anyone have much experience with adult sun cats? i had one till it was eaten at 7" by my tsn x rtc. are they safe to keep with a lima? what kind of temperment? any info is appreciated. thanks

nobody has any experience at all? i'm probably going to pick up about a 9-10" guy tomorrow and just would like a lil input

IT willl eat like crazy i had a 5" one that ate more than my stingray it was nuts. other than that they are the same as little ones

I have own a sun catfish before. They are peaceful and good to keep with fish that are bigger than it of course. I had one for about a month and it got along well with my knife, gar, peacock bass and so on.

They are actully like a smaller more colorful channel catfish

cool...that's about what i was expecting in em. just nice to be reasured before it goes and kills all my hard to find fish

Just make sure they are to big to fit in his month, and you will have nothing to worry about

they will do fine with a lima i'm planing on that combo my self they aren't aggressive and are safe with expensive fish unless they fit in the sun cats mouth

they like being in groups so if you can get more then one do it they are much less shy when in groups
