Mine will occasionally, if he decides to come out at feeding time he knows the food is going to start at the top so sometimes he waits there and will eat floating food.

Tell me about it! I'm totally with you! Mine is about the same size (after a year!!!!!) and has some how managed to survive in a 150 gallon tank with catfish and peacock bass! I don't get it

They are pretty slow growers. But they do look really nice.

Wow. Those are the prettiest sun cats i have ever seen. How did you give them the red color?

Love that red in the fins. Mine is all blacked out because of the dark tank.

1)Taiyo Economy Pallets
2)Ocean Free Ever Red
3)Ocean Free Shrimps
4)Taiyo Blood Worms

I have one 8" or so, but I have no pics. I comes out and swims with my marblecat periodically so I'll see if I can get some.

I had another one a little shorter and skinnier, but my stupid flathead (who is now in my pond) ate him. It took me several years to grow them so it pissed me off. I didn't realize he was big enough to eat one.
