gulpers can eat fish longer than they are

it doesn't matter if it was friendly at night he'll search for food

Mine is about four inches now. It has a hiding spot it loves, but it will always come out for food, and it's slowly gaining more confidence and sometimes coming out randomly. If it sees movement, it goes straight back to the cave.

I've never managed to get a good picture of it.

My sun cat got a little too big for his cave but he likes to sit ON the plants and play dead all day. As soon as your turn out the tank like and step away he starts to cruise like a shark.

He's one of our favorites and personally, I love the markings and colorations. Really gorgeous olive colors and they get pretty beefy once they start to grow.

I have one in the 125 with cichlids, a couple of polypterus, and small pimelodids, and it is not as active, but still se it during feeding time. Tends to hold its own against the bigger Pimelodus

minealmost always hides and when he does come out it is for food. but then he goes right back in to hiding. He is about 8-9"

I have a 7" and one slightly smaller, and they do mainly sit in their pvc pipes all day. When I feed they will come out, and you'll see them out at random at other times.

They're very slow growers. I think about the slowest growing fish I've had so far, other than clown loaches. I've had them a couple of years and we got them at 2-3".

When I turn the tank lights off they do come out and swim around, even if the lights in the room are still on, but for a long time they didn't even do that.

i have a big one, close to a foot, really really wide, ive had him since 3 inches, probly for about 2 and a half years, so needless to say, very slow growers, ive seen it only a handful of times since i got it, imo there very shy, and passive, mines alone but i hear there best in groups, oh and just so you know theres a few different types of suncats too
