I recently aquired a sun conure 2 days ago. He is around 9-10months old and he is eating and drinking fine. The promblem is he is constantly head bobbing and twitching his feathers. What could this be? Help
He's just happy to see you most likely. He's bobbing his head to yack you up a nummy treat! It really isnt a problem unless he actually vomits, he will most likely stop doing it once he's older.
I know what you meen about not liking them in the Morning. My Macaw is very loud in the morning, making sure everyone is awake, and that he gets his food on time every morning. Birds are annoying sometimes, but they are really awesome pets if they bond too you well.
Well, you said he is 10 Months, so he's really still considered a Baby. Smaller birds such as Conures arent even considered Juveniles until 18 months. So he will most likely stop in 8 Months. Ruffling his feather could meen his is cold, happy to see you, or angry. You will have to interpret this behaviour best as you can.
Hopefully someone can help you more. (Hint-Hint, Liz)
