sun spot for turtle

I needed a place for my turtle to sun him self and couldnt find anything in the store to buy w/out taking my water level down so I came up with this , sorry about the clamps that was my 1st one will have a better one soon . So what do you think?

Nice.... But maybe make somethign solid for it to bask on instead of the pad. It will enjoy that much more.

Thanks Tyler but look at the pics it is solid the lilly pad is on top of the L shaped brace very solid .

Ive been wanting to do the same thing but worry about the evaporation caused by the sun lamp. Do you find your loosing alot of water due to it?
