When I was a kid and got my first tutle I made a piece of strofoam into a sunning bed by shaping a ramp into one end and adding enough sinkers to the bottom to sink it down enough for the ramp to be underwater. The turtles LOVED it ... I eventually coated it with a rubber like spray that my dad had "borrowed" from work
