sunfish compatibly

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It really depends on tank size and fish size. Sunfish are very territorial, if in a small tank they will be rather aggressive. If in a larger tank where they have space to set up a territory you would have better success. As far as fish size all 3 of those species will eat any fish that will fit in their mouth.

I live in Pa and have kept all of the fish you mentioned in the same tank, just a bigger tank. With that said they were fine, I’d assume they would be more aggressive the smaller the tank though. I’d say just use as few as possible. I use Greenies as dithers in my central tanks when I need them. Rock bass are awesome and tough as well. Smallies are fun and crazy active, but get way too big for your tank, Largemouths are lazy and kind of boring and they crap a lot, and also eat tankmates. Not sure if this helps.

yea it help alot i almost caught a bass (no sure smallie or largemouth) today but escapes :( ye the larger (but damaged) sunfish is chasing the smaller healthy one which usally hides in its "cave"
