Most feeders are pond raised, greens so chances are it was in the same pond as the goldfish and they didn't even notice it was in the shipment. It's happened before.

where there is a will there is a way,

there are barrior islands off the coast of Mississippi that have small freshwater lakes on them, these lakes get flooded with saltwater every time a hurricane comes. they also have populations of large mouth bass and bluegill, and other sunfish. There are 101 ways that a breeding population of green sunfish could end up in a goldfish breeding pond. it would only take 2.

yes, but greens are illegal in florida... how did they get there in the first place?

Greens are found in the wild in some places in Florida, I have seen range maps where their range extends into Northern Florida. Also, just because the fish were shipped to a store in Florida does not mean the goldfish were raised on a Florida farm. Goldfish can survive in a lot of various temps and are farm raised all over the place.

My LFS said that they were raised in a florida pond.
