I also concur that it is a Redbreast. Look at the Pictures for the Redbreast from Zimmerman's. Here you go: http://www.zimmermansfish.com/Price.html
W.Willie, what happened to your avatar?WahooWillie;4591857;4591857 said:It is no doubt a redbreast. I 100% agree. But, just FYI, 'shellcracker' is a termused for redEAR sunfish. Redears eat primarily mullusks and crack the shells of snails, etc.
I have kept redbreast in the past for about 2 years. I loved these fish, but once they get about 4-5 inches, they tend to get very aggressive toward tankmates. I think they rival green sunfish in temperament. My first redbreast is my Avatar.
Wow thats insane, when I get the space I am going to get a 125-150 for a central Longear setup. Ive decided to put in driftwood along with the rocks, and some bigger dithers (stonecats, and Golden Shiners), to try to keep more than just one sunfish at a time alive!critter_bob;4601863;4601863 said:My spotted sunfish killed both of the other spotteds in his tank, and that was a 150!
