would a sunfish tank work though with a baby green sunfish, a baby bluegill, and a baby pumpkinseed, or two of each?
I had two green sunfish that outgrew my 39 gallon and I had to put the survivor in a friends pond. I would recommend at least a 55 gallon for Bluegill and Green Sunfish .... your tank is the perfect size for Dollars or Bantam or Northern Longear Sunfish.ryanj612;4107973;4107973 said:what if i only keep a bluegill and a green sunfish and a few shiners? ive got a pond that i can put them into if they get too big for the tank too.
Sorry, no according to the Petersons guide to N.A. fish theyre not native to Nebraska....but there is a small but very pretty sunfish with vibrant colors that is native to , the Orangespotted sunfish; on youtube they have a video of a Orangespotted in a 30 gallon.....very nice looking fish and could be kept with small madtoms and some hardy shiners.ryanj612;4114247;4114247 said:ok. do you know what area they are native to? like are they found in nebraska or iowa?
