Sure, some forums focus on learning and have a mix of academics and hobbyists instead of just hobbyist. Those forums aren't for everyone.

I take Drewish and Teleost very seriously and so should anyone who wants to keep native fishes. If we don't start paying attention to the laws and regulations and why and where they are coming from we will all find ourselves locked out of native fish keeping. It's not a joke, many times the laws are arbitrary and passed simply because we native fish keepers have no power or numbers, at least in the eyes of the law makers. Keeping the lines of communication open between the professionals and the hobbyists should be a top priority, it's the only way our needs wants and view point will ever be heard.
