there are 2 baby feeder fish in the tank. they they are doing alright. so I don't know why only the jardini is having so many problem. do u guys think its parasite?
Different fish manifest symptoms differently and have different hardiness to the same stressor.
Only after you figure out the WC, pH, and buffer issues could we delve into the next possible thing. What if this is all there is?
If worried about internal parasites, you can lace its food with a mix of praziquantel and metronidazole. Both are very safe, hard/impossible to overdose. Can throw fenbendazole or flubendazole in the mix too.

Not at all, the good Sarge is one of my favorite people on MFK. We joke around, that's all. On another note, a lot of rocks contain Iron Ore and heavy metals, so if you have local rocks, carbon is an essential IMOThis is not the way I see it. I've said it 50% for giggles tooMoreover, now you have a pick up line next time you see an attractive Russian-speaking chick. Yup. You are welcome.
But 50% was serious. IDK why Frank got banned and how he got resurrected, neither do I want to know - none of my business - but I'm guessing it's because of his "too-intense" a nature, which you are playfully riling up or so it seems
Sorry to hear but regardless, don't give up. Get some goldfish what not and try to get to the bottom of your issues. It's intriguing.
One should know not to have tank water exposed to any heavy metals. There are no heavy metals in drinking tap water or anything else that'd be dangerous like pesticides, herbicides, industrial or agricultural chemicals, detergents, lubricants, VOC, poly-halogenated organics, etc., etc., etc.
For every fish that dies from heavy metal, a million dies from an ammonia or nitrite spike or long term exposure. Hence, the space in the filter would be a million times better to be occupied by BB's, not carbon. Unless, of course, there is a legitimate reason for concern...
probably much better to wait and use some cheap Tetras or Convicts or Jewels to figure out what's wrong w/ the tank before u go putting another Arro in there which could simply just die againAnd ima take out the crushed coral too. Do you guys think I should match my tank water with my tap water?

I would try something a little more hardy......Arros aren't exactly delicate, but they aren't super-hardy either.....Ottocinctus are pretty delicate - I think you'd fare better w/ some Convicts or Jewel cichlids, then if they make it, they can be housed w/ a Jardini for the futureMybe I'll get sone Oct algea fish do they work as well?

Even some larger Feeder Goldfish, dude......just don't get something delicate
Tetras are still somewhat delicate and you need 6 of them, minimum. Do you have something against cichlids? They're only among the most intelligent, resilient and most resourceful fish on the Earth.....I guess I'll do some tetra to test it out
