ive lost 2 already and its starting to happen to another... the eyes are sunken in and their wiskers went limp, they seem to be bumping into everything and unable to see... please help, i only have 3 left out of my original 5

Water parameters (ammonia, nitrIte, nitrAte, pH?)

What are you feeding them?

Any white stringy poo?

How big is their tank and what else in in there?

List your filtration and tank decor and any other details you can think of like temperature, etc.

im not sure what the paramaters are, the temp is about 82 degrees, its 75 gal. im doing a water change right now, all i have in there is plants rocks and 2 pieces of driftwood, its a tiny bit overcrowded, but my tank has been set up for months and this is just starting to happen... my paramaters should be fine, my discuses dont seem to be doing bad at all

Tubifex are suspicious. I'd be suspecting parasitic activity. Is their poo white and stringy? If so, I'd use a full dose of Prazi-Pro for the full three days, then repeat. This med is gentle and can safely be used on catfish. And it works. Once it knocked a thimble's worth of big white worms out of a raphael cat for me.

Pics would be good, and don't take my guess as a conclusive diagnosis. We've only just scratched the surface here.

Melafix probably won't do a thing to a bug like this. Do you have the bodies of the dead to inspect? You could gut them and check for worms or gray liver.

I'd suspect malnutrition by the sunken eyes but the diet sounds rich enough and this would have been a gradual onset, as in months not weeks or days.

Come on, you vet-types. Jump in here and help out!

i dont have the bodies, , but like i said before, its happening to another one, his wiskers started getting droopy, thats how i know its happening

I PM'ed Lupin. He might recognize these symptoms. I just plain don't, and aside from suspecting parasite-induced malnutrition, I'm in the dark.
