I know what you mean about drafts and such. My main concern with the window was temperature instability. Really didn't consider algae. But glad I posted and got some good feedback. Once tank is up it's not goin to be moved!

I did plan on getting a good crew along with good skimmer to hopefully cut down on some maintainance. As soon as I fiqure out what I need exactly...? ( I still have more questions than answers)

if you go to reefcleaners.org and click custom clean up crews they will put a crew together for you. there is no contract to purchase anything from them.

also i would decide if your gonna have a sump or room in the sump for a skimmer as it will cut your choices down considerably sometimes

No sump for time being. Using fx5 and definetely using a skimmer. Only have a 75gal. Eventually will go bigger with sump setup when I fiqure it all out and hopefully when I move to a bigger home.
