i had a ac running from early 90s i was a toddler till i was 19. at least 15 years continual use. only broke from being dropped while moving
SunSun is a very good and reliable filter made by the very same company that makes parts for Marineland products. I am running 3 of the SunSun 565 Gph. canisters with built-in UV one of them has been running for over 2 years with no problems. You can pack them with media and customize to suit your needs. They are a great buy.

You can put whatever media you want in an AC as well. You can also easily turn it into a refugium. You can't do that with a canister. You can't root pothos in a canister either. Get the AC.
