Male Jaguars, Male Haitiensis (black nasty), Male Grammodes...

^^what he said. I would do grammodes but they don't get huge and they grow slow. If you're into it.. you could do a flowerhorn, those guys get pretty agro when kept alone.

Male Jag, female dovii, Male Flowerhorn, a pair of Midas, a pair of cons.
i wouldnt put them all in, just pick your favorites, i had 2 female dovii (6"), 10" pair of Midas, fullgrown pair of Cons all in a 100g.

If it were me and you wanted an actually community (aka multiple fish) I would stick tot he smaller guys...

like JD's, GT's, cons, firemouths, certain pikes... stuff like that. then either some sort of catfish (like lima) or fast dithers

Limas get way too big for 125s.

deff get some sort of parachromis, i just got a losiselli, around 10" he is awesome, dovii are really nice and so are freddis. not nice as in friendly though

alsoa pair of crenicichla would be awesome

i agree
im guessin you want a communtiy since you put that , i would get :

2x Convict
1x texas cichlid
1x green terror
1x five spot jewel ( would prolly rule your tank)
1x regular jewel
schoal of dithers
some type of catfish

yea that would pretty much be my stocklist

Yep!

Wrong.
You'd have to be a moron to keep one a lima in anything under 180gallons considering they get 2 feet long. They'll also eat anything that will fit in their mouth. Mine was only 17-18" or so and ate a 10" blue channel cat whole and died eating it.
