You'd have to be a moron to keep one a lima in anything under 180gallons considering they get 2 feet long. They'll also eat anything that will fit in their mouth. Mine was only 17-18" or so and ate a 10" blue channel cat whole and died eating it.

I appreciate you calling me and dozens of other members morons. I would love for you to show me a pic of a 2 foot Lima in a tank.

Oh yeah, what size tank did you have your Blue Channel Cat in? I believe the current rod and reel record of a Blue Channel Cat is 112 pounds. Only a moron would keep one of these in an aquarium.

very welcome. You can keep whatever you want in whatever size tank you want, but keeping a lima in anything smaller than a 180 is just irrisponsible.

They were just junk fish that came with a tank. I tried giving them away for a good 3-4 months and nobody wanted them so when I lost both of them I was happy to finally have the tankspace. I had a lima 18-19", 20"+ tsn, and a 10" blue channel cat in a 130 which had a 6'x18" footprint and the thing could barely turn around. He would sit in the corner with his nose on the glass and tail on the back.

Clearly you're an irresponsible aquarist then.
