Sometimes the "chubby" ones are females that are packing on weight and maybe producing eggs! I have two endi females (13" & 15") that out weigh my male (16.5") about two to one!

. My male is doing this w/two of the females I got. It's pretty interesting.
After using the bichir ID chart I am almost positive I do have a male and female. I had already moved the thinner male to another tank because he has always had problems with agression. As soon as I added the new bichir he was chasing her around and constantly biting her fins and face. I may try to re-introduce him in a few days.
