I am dead certain that's what the general consensus was in that previous super green thread. The folks at that shop were trying to get more for the fish by hyping it's name up.

Regardless, it's a gorgeous fish. I know prices down there where you folks are are insane to the prices we have here. Hopefully you didn't get taken but if you love the fish and the looks then it's certainly worth whatever you paid for it, by far!


How big did you say this guy was?
 
although that is a escondido, and yes they are also pretty common and cheap down under, i have never seen one like this before. it has really big green spots on it.

Could it be some other form of carpintis then, other than escondido since the spots/spangling is much larger?
 
its a line bred escondido i beleive
like bred to produce greator colours he is about 4-5inch i think, havent actually measured him
ive never seen escondido here before

well so says the lfs

also ie noticed some of the pearls are like joined together
does anyone know if this occurs in regular esco
