Super rare barbs

here is another internet rip...this fish is colored like a tiger fish, gets to 4 feet long, very very rare, much rarer than tiger fish, and peaceful to keep!

The top one looks like a Kelah. Sold for US$10 here maximum for a small one.
Some of them will develop a rusty red coloration when adult.
i like the one with a croc like face.

well, lucky you, i believe you're in singapore or malaysia. to my knowledge that fish is protected in malasia. well, the top fish is the same family as the kelah, which is tor tamboroides, the one in the picture is probably a tor messulah or tor khudree, one of the indian, gangetic ones, which grows much larger, and rare too
and that picture was from a japanese fish store, you know the japanese people

well.... pig nosed turtles are protected too... but see no end to their supply.
If it is a mahseer then it wld really be something to see in a huge pond with some Araipamas and a wels....
haha... jap hobbyists are the crazy ones... but they help set the standard.

Hey Wes... Is this Probarbus jullieni? If so, I'd definitely be interested if the price isn't off the map. Here's a barb that'll make full grown tin foil barbs look like feeder guppies. P. jullieni can reach over 50lbs in the wild.
