I agree, ive always just left a inch or so. Never had a jumping issues or injuries so i just kept it that way. Ill admit it doesnt look as nice.

I agree with you man, i think its easier to feed them too. When i had my tank filled to the top, they would hit the lid trying to get the pellets.
 
Could use some pumping up. Looks skinny compared to the SRs i've seen, especially for one that length. Beautiful nonetheless! Great fish yea. How much do they cost over there?
