Just because he's a Global Mod doesn't mean he knows everything, he's only human and makes mistakes sometimes. If you follow the link and go to the Hawaii Dept. Of Ag website it will show that the only Arowana that is PROHIBITED is the Arapaima Gigas. The rest of them: silver, black/blue, jardini, leichardti, and african are all legal to bring in and own. Of course asians aren't on the list because they are banned by the US Gov.

It's not . If you know your fish then you would know that ARAPAIMA come from the same scientific family of bony-tongue fish which would make it a type of arowana. Do the research first before you jump to conclusions.
