We are perhaps being a bit mean, clearly this person was misled and probably overcharged.
The simple facts are it's not a trimac, it's a low grade fh. Pretty but no where near a masterpiece and it will never produce a MP. If they told you the parents cost $2000 each they lied to you.
Pure trimacs are hard to come by and usually only availble from a reputable source like Jeff Rapps at tangled up in cichlids. And trimacs do not cost $2000 dollars.
To be honest many times I see fh in the $1500 to $2000 range and I wouldn't pay a dime for them. Overbites, underbites, weak tails, "Elephant god" face, kok so big they can't see or swim normally leading to improper muscle development and possibly deformity, ...I could go on and on. Yes some are truly masterpieces but some are just wrong.
