Super Red King Kong Parrots

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
my pH is kept steady at 6.8-7.0 for my rtg aro. the driftwood has not changed the pH and australian water (in sydney) are soft.

so there has been no pH or hardness change.....only tannins released from the wood....

they are actually all male fish and the biggest one is about 35cm long

they are still red after a water change......will be interesting to see if they revert back to their normal colors once all the water clears up with subsequent water changes

I assume that they are excited from the different feeling in their water and are happy. It's like something new and exciting for them to them.

those are high quality kks. KKs will also get redder if your water temp is around 86*F.

I like your driftwood lanscape, but will look better with just a little gravel to cover the fish poop but not too much that the waste will accumalate. The gravel might help the aro as well so it does not look down causing the droop eye

thanks....i think i will try get some gravel.........i have been holding off for a while....just like the ease of cleaning a bare bottom tank. .......

btw how much gravel would you use and what colour?
