I lost my stunning super red sev today, for no apparent reason. He grew from 2" to around 7",looked stunning all the way, then just keeled over and died for no reason. All water parameters are fine, all other fish are fine, just dont understand.Tanks a 55 gall with an Albino Sen,Breeding pair of Thorichtys ellioti -(they didnt attack him),a 12" BGK,4" AT Dat and some big clown loaches (yes,i know an upgrade will be coming).Filtered by a 305 and 405 with UV,50% water changes weekly. Is there a genetic problem with in-breeding on these?
Looked sick, went to the top of the tank and was gone in less than 24 hours.
