Local fish store is selling super red texas about 4-5 inches but they are all white will they stay that color or change as they age?

I didn’t take one unfortunately I’ll take one next time I’m up there
How much are they if they aren’t expensive and you have extra room I’d say go for it and if it don’t have too good of colors try breeding with another cichlid if possible

Pic? If they’re 4-5” they should have some color or at least patterns

Very few that were black
I’m sure that when they grow a bit they’d get at least a pale red or orange color but you never know. It’s all in the genes. You can take a chance and with a bit of luck and good care it’ll grow to a beauty or be a total failure
