Super red texas question

Gts are not used to make any hybrids. They are unable to hybridize outside of genus being South American cichlids, same for chocolates.
Carpintis are likely used to make bright Texas, as they are a bright blue fish.
Carpintis would be a good option for a partner because the two are closely related and the carpintis would bring lots of blues in the offspring. Essentially an unfaded red Texas.
Aquatic Aggression Aquatic Aggression makes a good point that by breeding with anything that has Midas genes, you aren’t really doing anything for color as all of the color genes were already passed on.
BTW your green terror is amazing! And the Texas looks like it is going to become a stunner too! Takes a bit for colors to come in all the way.
Cool I was planning on getting a electric blue texas in the future whenever one of my local stores gets one in

Both are terrors lol. Ones red, ones green. Annoying as I thought they were related for the longest time lol.
Names can be annoying, but easier to remember than scientific ones.

Yeah I just assumed it was green texas as this is a thread about red texas so green terrors have no relation. I think green terrors earns the abbreviation of GT more so than green texas as I don't even say green texas. It's just a common trade name and not even a texas. It's a carpintis.

Agree. I was reading GT as green texas through out the conversation and was very confused, using it as acronym for green terror is not technically wrong but not typical.
