My Endi bichir eats very slow. I put the food right in front of him yet he lets it sit in front of him for sometimes up to a minute or more before he eats it. He also rarely moves from this one hiding spot he has, and is just overall a inactive fish. alive had him for about 3 weeks and he's about 6 inches.

I moved your thread to the appropriate section. Hopefully it'll help you get some responses.

As for the Endli in my experience that's pretty much how they act, matter of fact the few kinds of Polys I've kept where the same as well. They all wound up being not especially active and slow eaters. I used to have issues getting mine to eat enough because of it. Long story short I had to move him in with less aggressive eaters and since he's been doing better.

Glas your thread is in this section so you can more opinions. But as we discusded in your other thread thats normal behavior.
I think it has more tp do with its tankmates. Please list them so.others can more accuratley comment

My Endli responds to food slowly also you may have to drop a pellet or two in after lights out. I'm only suggesting that just in case you get tired of spot feeding and in darkness the Oscar will not locate it as well as the Endli due to its sense of smell.

That bichir looks like he is going to end up a snack for that "O" pretty soon. Also that little guy will never eat with all that commotion going on spot feeding like that. My suggestion is to separate them or rehome the oscar you have atleast a year of good feeding growth before that mix will work well. Trust me i speak from experience here.
