not sure if i did this right...

Vid quality is not so great (using an old canon camera) but here are my datnoides. There are two ornates and a pleco in there but they didnt feel like swimming around. The tank is ~100g acrylic and I have a mix of thinbars, ngt and indos.
The larger thinbars like to stay in front of the fx5 output recently so I am wondering if I should put in a strong powerhead for them. Anyone have big dats with super strong current in the tank?
The tank is fairly cluttered with input/output valves from my fx5, 2 405's and 2 powerheads so aesthetically not too pleasing already. Just wondering if anyone has put in a pond pump or something else that really pushes the current.

i like it man, wish i could help with the powerhead question. I got just a small IT and are already on the look out for more. Im trying to find a small ngt and a few ntt's to get a nice little pack going

i dont see anything wrong just to many fish? lol

yea i feel bad for the bigger ones, they're active but not much space to move in...that's why im wondering if they need a high flow pump to get some exercise. its either that or thin out the stock again, which is something i've been debating.

thanks bro. all happy had two small 3-4" ngts the last time i was there. as for smaller thinbars i'm sure they are easier to find.

i like it ! n my dats like flow too ^_^ i used to run 3.6kgph in my 300gal , but now they are in a 360 running a 1.8kgph just fine . but then my dats r 15-20" , so they dont get blown around at all since they r like swimming tanks ._.

My dats dont mind strong current but the one thing that sticks out to me is when you talked about your big NTT hanging out in front of the output of the FX5. When dats usually do that its a sign of parasites in the gills. Its there way of trying to get rid of them. And with them being NTT i wouldn't be shocked if that was the case. Back when i got into dats i go to experince it first hand with NTTs. Keep up on water changes also to reduce the chance of bacterial infections aswell which can cause your dat to hang there in to current. If more than one dat starts doing it i would worry.

Dang that is one loud #%% powerhead! Other than that everything looks fine, my dats don't mind the extra flow.
