I have a 7-8" black arowana and was wondering how to feed them the super worms. Should I gutload them with the Hikari Food Sticks? Some say to take off the heads, but is that really necessary?
i feed them straite out just drop them in a few at a time the movement should attract the aro...if you freeze them then you could hand feed them to your aro, but don't be suprised when it misses and gets your fingers it is going to happen...my aro drew blood cause it head shook on my thumb...
A LFS told me today, that you run the risk of them not accepting "dried foods" anymore if you feed them super worms... Do any of you guys feed both Hikari Food Sticks and Super Worms?
I gut load my superworms with colour enhancing pellets. Amazingly, they make my worms red. My aro, though just a 1.5 Red, seems to have improved colouration since.
yes, it doesn't affect them like that...once it reckonised the pellets as a food sorce it will continue to eat them and if you feed pellets on diff days as the other foods it will be hungry and eat what you put in the tank...
